The Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner's Certificate (IMPC) is Coming to Dublin, Ireland!

Posted on: June 15th, 2026

EU Mediation, in collaboration with UK Mediation, are delighted to announce that, between the 1st-5th February 2027, we will be delivering The Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner’s Certificate (IMPC) in Dublin, Ireland.

Taking advantage of our base in Cork, we look forward to welcoming delegates from a wide range of backgrounds and countries, and equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become professional Interpersonal Mediators.

The IMPC will qualify you to mediate and resolve interpersonal disputes in workplaces, neighbourhoods, landlord-tenant situations, with families at risk of breakdown, in medical settings, and in complaint scenarios. It is not appropriate for those wishing to work in commercial mediation, negotiating financial or contractual matters, nor is it intended for family mediators who work with divorce and separation.

During the course, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the psychology of conflict. Drawing from our CEO Dr Mike Talbot’s background in psychotherapy, the course explores why we come into conflict, why it is so hard to navigate our way out of it, and how an impartial mediator can help people to achieve transformative resolution.

This is all delivered by one of our expert trainers - also a practising mediator with an active caseload – who will share their own experiences to illustrate the training. Our trainers are also certified adult educators who will be able to adapt the training to the collective group.

Furthermore, the course is a ‘Recognised Mediator Training Programme’ (RMTP) with the International Mediation Institute (IMI). Successful graduates can apply for ‘IMI Qualified Mediator’ status, which provides you with an internationally recognised designation and a profile listing on IMI’s global directory.

And while many mediation training courses in Ireland require 60 hours or more tuition, spread over multiple weeks and often being delivered partly online, the IMPC is a five-day, 40-hour, face-to-face qualification course. Delivered Monday-Friday, 9-5, it is the only course you will need to resolve disputes between people whose relationship needs to be repaired.
