EU Mediation is Born

Posted on: November 14th, 2022

For much of our 23 years of operation as UK Mediation, we have been delivering a proportion of our work outside the UK. Thanks to COVID-19, that proportion has increased over the last couple of years, with a much greater take-up of online training and mediation.

Then, on top of this, since 2020 we have had to meet the challenges posed to us by Brexit, not least that central EU funding can now not be spent with ex-EU organisations!

Putting all that together, we have decided to spread our wings and, from 18th November 2022, our sister organisation, EU Mediation, comes into operation. Being based in the Republic of Ireland, we will have a foothold in the EU and will be in a position to offer to any European country:

Initially, our work will be carried out in English, but we have several affiliate mediators and trainers coming on board soon, who will also be able to work in other languages.

Online training and mediation will still be available for those who prefer it, but EU Mediation will allow us to come to you if you need it, and to deliver our quality-assured suite of courses and services when and where you choose.

We look forward to growing and developing our EU base further, and to meeting more and more individuals and organisations who want to manage conflict more positively.
